Rowley Shoals, WA - October, 2006

© Copyright Ian Robertson, 2006

The Rowley Shoals, a night-time boat run west from Broome, are near the edge of the Australian continental shelf. They are some of the most pristine coral atolls in the world, are awash at high tide and still have a wonderfully well-balanced ecology. This is a record of our visit to the Clerk and Mermaid atolls in October '06 on board the Odyssey II. Visibility is some of the best in Western Australia. Pictures shot on film with Nikonos V and subsequently scanned.
