Busselton Jetty

© Copyright Ian Robertson

The Busselton Jetty is one of Western Australias prime dive sites. This old wooden jetty thrusts north from the sandy shore of Geographe Bay and, although it has been damaged by fire but has since been repaired, the wooden posts provide a substrate for a wide variety of marine life. It is best dived at sunset. The dramatic brassy lighting among the wooden pylons later passes into night, when a whole new 'shift' of night-life appears. These pictures were taken on film with a Nikonos V and subsequently scanned.
